Hello, my name is Mac Gagne.
I'm a rising sophomore with a planned program II major in defense and strategy applied statistical modeling. While in D.C. this summer, I will be working for the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) to learn more about how mathematical modeling can be used to advise decisions in national defense. I am personally fascinated with the high-stakes decisions that members of the United State's defense and intelligence communities face daily. Through this internship, I hope to get a better idea as to what strategy really is in a defense perspective, and how statistical analysis can aid in making more efficient decisions when saving lives. I'm looking forward to a successful summer, and am so thankful for this opportunity to be introduced to the world of defense analysis! Read more |
